At least 5 years before a license expires, the licensee must file a notice of intent declaring whether or not it intends to seek a new license (relicense) for its project. At least 2 years before a license expires, the licensee must file an application for new license. The original reports, which were prepared several years ago, are being revised as part of a program of Water Resources Appraisals for Hydroelectric Licensing. The revised reports provide updated information on water resources for use by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and its staff when considering hydroelectric licensing and other work.
